Engine oil bypass filtration system maker Puradyn Filter Technologies has forged an aftermarket deal with truck manufacturing conglomerate Paccar.

Through the deal, 500 dealers of Paccar subsidiaries Kenworth Truck Co. and Peterbilt Motors Co. can offer Puradyn's oil filtration system as an aftermarket option on Paccar-brand trucks.

Boynton Beach, FL-based Puradyn builds a bypass filter system for engines and hydraulic equipment that "re-refines" oil onboard the vehicle to extend drain intervals. Puradyn said its system is designed to reduce operating expenses, maintenance costs, capital expenses and the environmental impact associated with changing engine oil.

The company added that its international and domestic distribution network has increased by 41% since July of last year and that net sales increased by 81% in the second quarter of 2002.
