Chattanooga-based Covenant is one of the largest truckload carriers in the U.S. and specializes in just-in-time and other premium services.

A new Volvo customer, Covenant has ordered VN670 sleeper cabs powered by Cummins ISX engines. The new trucks will be used in single-driver service.

"Covenant Transport has a well-earned reputation for being as selective with its suppliers as it is with the just-in-time markets it serves," noted Scott Kress, Volvo Trucks senior vice president - sales. "Volvo's VN670 delivers the fuel efficiency and productivity Covenant demands, along with the superb driving environment the fleet needs to keep its drivers comfortable and efficient while providing the high-level of service its customers require."
