Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems LLC is sending four Northwood University students to the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) later this month as its VIP guests to learn firsthand about careers in the trucking industry.

While attending MATS, Northwood students will network with Bendix engineers and marketing executives, tour a nearby Bendix manufacturing facility and participate in a Bendix press event. Participating students will be chosen by Bendix based on Northwood professors’ recommendations as well as an interview process.

“Our aim is to provide an educational and mentoring experience for Northwood students showcasing the many facets of Bendix and the trucking industry in hopes the students will consider career options in our field upon graduation,” said Joe McAleese, Bendix president & CEO. “Northwood’s curriculum does an excellent job of preparing its graduates for management and marketing careers specific to our business, and we felt sponsoring students at Mid-America was a unique opportunity to demonstrate our support for the school.”

Northwood University is a private institution with highly specialized degree programs in automotive and aftermarket management and marketing. It has three campuses located in Florida, Michigan and Texas.
