Automotive and truck component supplier ZF Friedrichshafen AG has appointed Bernd Habersack as president of its North American operations. Most recently, Habersack had been responsible within ZF for its chassis technology division and he will continue this responsibility within his new post.
ZF added that Jim Stacey, who was appointed to the position of COO ZF Lemforder Corp. earlier this year, will assume coordination of ZF corporate offices in Florence, KY, and the ZF Technical Center in Northville, MI.
The global ZF Group specializes in driveline and chassis technology and is headquartered in Friedrichshafen, Germany. It employs more than 37,000 people worldwide and operates over 60 facilities in 17 countries. It posted sales of $6 billion last year. The North American division had sales of $ 1.8 billion last year and expects annual sales of over $2 billion by the year 2002.
