SAF-Holland lightens the fifth-wheel

SAF-Holland has introduced what it claims to be the lightest-weight fifth wheel: the aluminum Holland FW. The product was designed by SAF-Holland and manufactured by Alcoa.

SAF-Holland has introduced what it claims to be the lightest-weight fifth wheel: the aluminum Holland FW. The product was designed by SAF-Holland and manufactured by Alcoa.

The fifth wheel is designed for standard-duty applications and manufactured with the same aluminum alloy as Alcoa’s aluminum truck wheels. It’s rated for 55,000 lbs. maximum vertical load and 150,000 lbs. maximum drawbar pull and is backed by a five-year/500,000-mi. warranty.
