Outsourced fuel management and breakdown and preventive maintenance services have been announced by T-Chek Systems Inc., which describes itself as a provider of payment and information services to the transportation industry.

Under an agreement announced last month, fleets using T-Chek fuel cards and other services will now have access to nationwide breakdown and PM services provided by FleetNet America. FleetNet formerly served as the breakdown department for Caroline Freight Carriers, and it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Arkansas Best Corp.

At the same time, T-Chek announced new fuel procurement and management services that will allow fleets to outsource bulk fuel purchasing and distribution, as well as fuel quality management, fuel blending, truck-stop network management, purchase reporting, and price risk management. The company says it will also offer to manage other fuel-related special projects including price hedging and purchasing performance analysis.
