The new onboard hardware offers wide-area wireless data coverage throughout North America using analog cellular phone networks, as well as local wireless data transfers of large files such as complete trip logs when vehicles return to home terminals.

The Fleetboss system monitors and records vehicle operational data and movements without any input from drivers, including vehicle speeds and stops. The new onboard hardware adds a variety of real-time features, including geo-fencing and crash notification.
