Refrigerated products are not the only shipments that must remain at a constant temperature. Some products, like chocolate, must remain at a higher temperature. With anti-idling regulations in place, keeping items warm has become as big a concern as keeping items cold.

That's why Clean Burn has introduced the Transport Heater. The heater maintains a constant temperature, even when the truck's engine is not idling.

“From this problem scenario we created a solution,” said Morris Mantey, vp-marketing and sales. “If a driver is carrying a load of chemicals or perishable liquids in freezing weather, he can turn the engine off and the Transport Heater kicks in to keep the trailer contents warm to a specifically set temperature. The output of hot water can be adjusted to meet the specific needs of the cargo.”

The system includes a programmable thermostat with a sleep mode that is positioned behind the cab. Weighing 92.5 lbs., the unit produces 45,000 Btu/hr. and consumes less than a half gallon of diesel fuel an hour. It has an output temperature range of 100 to 160 deg. F.
