SOMS Technologies has released a light- and medium-duty oil filter that it claims can help extend oil drain intervals out to 30,000 mi. for most Class 1-6 vehicles. The microGreen extended performance oil filter is designed as two filters in one that captures particles down to two microns in size. According to the company, it installs just like a traditional filter, but with its extended-life performance can reduce maintenance costs by 65%, cut oil usage by 70%, and reduce filter changes by 50%. www.microgreenfilter.com

“The automotive market has not seen a material advancement in oil filter technology since the early 1970s,” said Miles Flamenbaum, CEO. “By bringing this clean technology to the market, we are confident that we will change the behavior of fleet operators and individuals alike. We are excited to provide an innovative solution which offers tremendous cost savings, while making a significantly positive impact on our environment.”

Two new 2-hole, flange mount LED modules have been added to Superior Signals Meteorlite line. The SYLEDS04 and SYSE4 are surface-mounted with polycarbonate lenses and four LEDs per head, the company said. Multi-module synchronization, simultaneous or alternate flashing and 19 built-in selectable flash patterns are just a few of the features. The LEDs are rated for 100,000 hours of operation, include reverse polarity protection and weatherproof design, and are vibration-resistant for interior or exterior use.

The SYLEDS04 is a 12 volt DC unit drawing a maximum of 0.6 amps available in amber, blue, clear or red LEDs. The SYSE4 has a variable voltage from 12 to 24 volts DC with max drawing power of 0.56 amps at 12.8 V and 0.28 amps at 25.6 volts. That model is available in amber, blue, clear, red or red/blue LEDs. www.superiorsignals.com
