North American Logistics (NAL), a division of moving giant Allied Worldwide, has formed a strategic alliance with Jardine Logistics, a business unit of Hong Kong-based Jardine Matheson Limited (Jardines). Jardine Logistics specializes in transportation and distribution services throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

The alliance was formed to create a seamless, integrated supply chain management capability in and between the United States and Asia-Pacific region, said James Grieger, NAL’s vp of global strategic marketing. In the U.S., Grieger said NAL’s ability to tap into Allied’s network of over 1,114 locations, 6,000 drivers and 4,000 corporate employees, gives it a distinct advantage in freight movement options. Allied’s subsidiaries also include North American Van Lines Inc., Allied Van Lines Inc., and Global Van Lines Inc.
