Prices continue to soar in the Midwest because of a fire that caused the shutdown of Citgo plant. The price rose 3.8 cents to $1.559, which is 15 cents higher than it was two weeks ago.
However, the Midwest did not have the highest gain. The price rose 8.0 cents in the Rocky Mountain region, 5.4 cents in California, 4.5 cents on the Gulf Coast, and 3.9 cents on the West Coast.
Only one region, New England, saw a price decrease, by 0.004 cents per gal.
