The Freightliner Group has honored E-A-R Specialty Composites with its 2004 Masters of Quality Award. This was the ninth win for E-A-R-- a leading manufacturer of noise and vibration control materials-- since the award’s inception in the early ‘90s. The award was given for both E-A-R’s Newark, DE and Indianapolis, IN facilities.

To earn the Masters of Quality Award, suppliers must satisfy stringent Freightliner quality assurance and customer service requirements, and demonstrate a commitment to product innovation, engineering excellent, marketing support and cost reduction. Only three percent of Freightliner’s suppliers qualified for the most recent award.

E-A-R initially supplied noise and control parts to Freightliner, but now supplies noise, vibration and thermal management packages in the form of installation-ready systems and components for Freightliner, Sterling and Western Star. The products are manufactured at E-A-R’s QS 9000 certified plants in Newark and Indianapolis, and are shipped to facilities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
