Kenworth Truck Co. showed off a new pre-production T800 extended day cab dump truck which provides drivers with more room and storage space, last week at the World of Concrete show in Las Vegas.

David Warren, Kenworth product marketing manager, said the T800 extended day cab dump truck has an additional 6 in. of cab length and a roof raised 5 in. over its traditional day cab.

He added that the extended day cab is only about 150 lb. heavier than the current cab and also has an additional 2.5 cu. ft. of interior storage.

Warren said the extended day cab could also be used to cost-effectively convert Kenworth AeroCab sleeper trucks into day cabs, which would open a good source of Kenworth used vehicles to construction companies.
