    Tatung Company of America, the U.S. subsidiary of Taiwan-based computer component maker Tatung, is launching a new third-party logistics company to serve the technology industry in the U.S. and overseas.

    Tatung said the new venture, called Riptide Logistics Solutions and based in Rancho Dominguez, CA, will provide both outbound and reverse logistics services using a 150,000 sq.-ft. facility in Rancho Dominguez along with another 150,000 sq.-ft. warehouse in Marietta, GA.

    The company said its outbound logistics offerings will include consolidation, warehousing, kitting, bundling and radio frequency identification (RFID) capabilities, with reverse logistics services including returns sorting, refurbishment, warranty repair, service parts fulfillment, advance exchange and asset recovery/disposition.
