ALK Technologies and TMW Systems have announced a partnership to market ALK's FleetCommander fleet optimization system, which is interfaced to TMW's PowerSuite and TL 2000 enterprise management software systems. The collaboration is designed to provide carriers with a deeper set of tools for resource management and customer service, according to Tom Weisz, president and CEO of TMW Systems.
By combining information from TMW and mobile communication systems, such as Qualcomm, @Track Communications, Aether Systems, Terion and even driver check-in calls, the FleetCommander system provides a geographical view of fleets using the routing, mileage and mapping tools of PC*Miler.
According to the companies, the system package is designed to automatically sort and interpret real-time vehicle data to produce detailed maps showing the location, status, arrival time and condition of trucks anywhere on North American roadways.
ALK also announced plans to continue expansion of its web-based product line with the late May release of PC* Miler/Streets 4.0.
