The state of Colorado is forming a coalition to encourage wider use of ethanol-blended fuels among consumers and commercial fleets

Schneider National plans to offer dedicated intermodal service to customers in the Ohio Valley and the Midwest starting June 5, thanks to its collaboration with CSX Intermodal, Inc., the Kansas City Southern railroad and the Marion, OH Industrial Center.

The partnership leverages a Schneider intermodal ramp as well as dedicated trains running from Marion, OH to Kansas City, MO, with connecting service to California and the Southwest. The four dedicated trains are going to provide departures six days a week in each direction between Marion and Kansas City and could cut transit times by as much as one day, Schneider said.

Schneider plans to expand the offering to include service to both Dallas and Mexico later this year and is considering the Pacific Northwest region.
