InPower LLC has released the ETM50, a fast idle electronic throttle control for Ford ’05 F-Series Super Duty trucks and E-Series Econoline vans. This aftermarket device enables the throttle to work with the truck’s electronics for improved reliability and control, InPower said.

ETM50 improves upon Ford’s technology by enabling idle increases at a consistent and stable ramp rates, InPower said.

The product replaces the ETM20/30/40 Series products for the ’05 models in response to Ford’s upgrade of its powertrain control module system.

Features include three adjustable fast idle speed presets, a variable external speed control input, and a LED diagnostic indicator that shows the status of the chassis sensors used for the fast idle interlock control.

The product supports both the Ford 6.0-liter diesel and the 6.8-liter and 5.4-liter gas engines.
