The Golden Age of Trucking Museum in Middlebury, Connecticut will host its first art exhibit in May with plans to have regular showings.
The first show will feature local artist Robert Templeton, who is best known for portraits, said Kathi Jones, museum director. Although Templeton painted many different themes, his showing at the museum will feature ‘life on the road’ with the centerpiece being "Templeton Was Here," several round paintings created as if the viewer is looking into rear-view mirrors of moving vehicles.
The museum was founded in 1998 and contains one of the rarest collections of antique trucks known to exist today, Jones said.
