Luber-finer has introduced the Imperial XL, a synthetic filter designed to last longer and remove more particles from engine oil than previous products.

Luber-finer's Imperial XL product is constructed with LH 60 synthetic micro-glass filter media, which permits smoother oil flow while removing engine-damaging particles in the 5- to 15-micron range.

In addition, says Luber-finer, synthetic media fibers are better able to withstand the higher operating temperatures of today's diesel engines. The Imperial XL also features a heavy-duty metal shell for better and pulse-fatigue strength, heavy-duty metal end caps filled with a urethane compound to provide a positive seal between the filter media and end cap, and a high-strength Nitrile gasket to provide a positive seal for extended life.
