Con-Way promotes John Labrie to VP

John Labrie, currently president and CEO of Buena Park, CA-based regional LTL operator Con-Way Western Express, has been promoted to executive vp of operations for parent company Con-Way Transportation Services, Ann Arbor, MI.

In his new position, Labrie will have direct management and planning responsibilities for all corporate level maintenance, construction, strategic planning, network operations support, fleet resources, decision technology, safety and regulatory compliance. Four Con-Way operating companies will also report to Labrie: Con-Way NOW, Con-Way Logistics, Con-Way Air and its new Con-Way Truckload business unit.

The promotion of Labrie is reshuffling the executives among Con-Way’s various regional LTL operations. Kevin Hartman, currently vp-operations for Con-Way Central Express (CCX) replaces Labrie as president & CEO of Con-Way Western Express (CWX). Bruce Moss, currently vp-sales for CCX, replaces Hartman as vp-operations for CCX, with Mike Bare, currently vp & gm of Con-Way Logistics, replacing Moss.
