Wright Express makes deal with S2 Systems

Wright Express will deploy S2's next generation solution on Sun Microsystems Solaris Operating Environment, with DB2 resident on an OS390 mainframe, reflecting a growing industry preference for OpeN/2 as the future-proof enterprise payment solution for open systems environments.

"Our joint initiative with Wright Express extends our market reach as a trusted technology partner where antiquated proprietary systems are rapidly being displaced," said S2 Systems president & CEO Stephen Clark.

The technology will enable Wright Express to capture more transaction information and extend services to new customer touch points, as well as expand into smart cards, stored value cards, and debit cards.
