Seattle-based Tideworks Technology today announced availability of the Spinnaker Planning Management System version 3.4, a fully-integrated terminal operating and planning software solution for intermodal yards, container depots and marine terminals.
The new version of Spinnaker extends the planning system's capabilities to terminal management system functionality traditionally available only in large-scale terminal management systems. The system adds gate transaction processing, container history tracking and integration with Automated Equipment Identifier (AEI) readers to its feature set, enabling terminal operators to deploy Spinnaker standalone as a complete terminal management solution. Tideworks estimates that this new solution can reduce terminal operators' system deployment and maintenance costs by fifty percent.
