Axis Communications has introduced a new high-performance camera designed for surveillance and remote monitoring applications on highways, bridges, warehouses and other facilities.

The AXIS 214 Network Camera has the ability to cover a wide range through its pan/tilt/zoom function and provides high-quality color video in daylight and low-light conditions. According to the manufacturer, the Axis camera also switches automatically to sharp black-and-white video in extremely dark conditions.

“A PTZ [pan/tilt/zoom] network camera is a cost-efficient moveable camera because no additional wiring is required as with analog systems,” said Fredrik Nilsson, general manager of Axis Communications. “The AXIS 214 PTZ further widens Axis’ network camera offering with a high-quality camera at an aggressive price point.”
