A handbook to help technicians evaluate radial tire conditions and analyze tire and casing failures has been published by the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) of the American Trucking Assns. (ATA).

The new edition of the “Radial Tire Conditions Analysis Guide” is fully illustrated, providing photographs and detailed descriptions of common truck tire failures and their causes. Divided into three sections, it covers tread and casing conditions, repair failures, and wear conditions, offering advice on how to correct problems and repair damaged tires. It also provides a comprehensive glossary of truck tire terms.
