Third-party logistics provider Elogex Inc. has formed a new subsidiary focused on logistics consulting. Called the Logistics Consulting Services group (LCS), it’s stated mission is to help companies seek new sources of cost savings and efficiency improvements across their supply chains.

LCS will use what Elogex calls its Accelerator Program – a four-phased approach to systematically assess a corporation’s level of readiness to implement collaborative logistics strategies and to recommend steps to speed the realization of cost savings and efficiency improvements. The program uses “tools” developed by Elogex that compares a company’s shipment data with that of other companies in order to find opportunities to share supply chain assets

Elogex, based in Charlotte, NC, added that post-implementation services are also available to benchmark and validate projected savings and return on investment.
