Stonier Transportation Group said its revenues grew to over $12 million in the first quarter of 2002, a 25% increase over the same period last year.

President & COO Thomas Piatak said expanded service offerings by the third-party logistics provider and freight forwarder is the reason its revenues have increased.

The company launched the Stonier Rail Connection in February. By partnering with major Class I railroads and targeting traffic that currently moves over the road, Jacksonville, FL-based Stonier has handled more than 300 new loads for shippers who were previously using just truck transportation, Piatak said.
