Autocar, a manufacturer of heavy vocational trucks, has appointed Joe La Spina to executive director of sales. Autocar, a manufacturer of heavy vocational trucks, has appointed Joe La Spina to executive director of sales.

La Spina brings over 33 years of refuse truck experience to the company, having previously worked for Mack as manager for refuse products. Prior to that he had assisted in the transfer of the Xpeditor line of low-cab-over-engine (LCOE) trucks from Volvo to Autocar. With Volvo, he was involved with the development and sales of the Xpeditor chassis until 1998.

“I consider Joe a close friend and his years of experience covering all facets of the truck business will be a tremendous help to Autocar in our drive to be the number one LCOE truck manufacturer,” said Autocar president Jim Johnston.
