International Brotherhood of Teamsters president James P. Hoffa will attend a Labor Day rally in King City, CA with Teamsters who work at Basic Vegetable Products (BVP).

The BVP workers recently ratified a new labor contract with the company after a two years effort, which included a 25-month strike that ended August 23.

Hundreds of BVP Teamsters are scheduled to join Hoffa in marching up the hill to the gates of Basic Vegetable for the rally. This fulfills a promise he made them a year ago when he pledged to lead them back to the plant gates in victory.

“These brave workers withstood every kind of pressure,” said Hoffa. “They stood together and refused to back down. Now they return to work with dignity, honor and the strong Teamsters contract they demanded and deserve.”
