DHL expands Asia, European reach

A new service called DHL MidDay Express offers deliveries by 12 p.m. second day for non-dutiable shipments to major cities and business centers in ten Asia-Pacific countries. The first phase of the new DHL offering covers import shipments to Europe from Asia-Pacific, said Bill Blomquist, director of marketing & sales for DHL Express Europe, which is based in Brussels, Belgium.

He added that, starting March 1, DHL plans to extend the range of its “TimeDefinite” service to and from Asia-Pacific as well, with its DHL StartDay Express service offering delivery before 9 a.m. available to five major Asian cities – Hong Kong, Manila, Singapore, Bangkok and Taipei – along with more TimeDefinite deliveries in Europe as well.

“TimeDefinite services are now available to over 110,000 postcodes inside Europe and from Europe to 55 countries in all regions of the world,” said Blomquist.
