Oshkosh Truck Corp. said it has been awarded a $11.2-million contract for 22 Striker airport rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) vehicles, which will be used at the three major New York and New Jersey Port Authority airports – John F. Kennedy International, Newark International, and LaGuardia.

The Port Authority is taking delivery of 14 units with 3,000-gallon water capacity and eight with 1,500-gallon water capacity.

The Striker 3000 models are equipped with ample 3,000-gallon water tanks. Seven of the units feature Snozzle high-reach extendable turrets, while the others are equipped with 1,000-gallon-per-minute roof turrets. All 14 units feature Rhino high-volume bumper turrets that can discharge 1200 gallons per minute.
