Rand McNally licenses software to Cooper Tire

Rand McNally's Transportation Data Management subsidiary has licensed its MileMaker mileage and routing software to Cooper Tire. Findlay, OH-based Cooper Tire added that it expects to cut its logistics costs by integrating MileMaker with the i2 package, primarily in the areas of internal freight rating, auditing and payment processing.

"The key lies in the Household Goods (HHG) mileage calculation provided by Rand McNally," said Chuck Sear, general traffic manager for Cooper. "We feel MileMaker, with HHG mileage, is the industry standard for mileage and rating, enabling us to provide the most accurate freight rating calculations to ensure proper invoice payment."
