Mack Trucks Inc.’s new PartsPlus program promises to typically have an order ready for shipment within hours of a call being received at a Mack parts distribution center (PDC), regardless of the time or day.

Terry Ethier, director of parts marketing, said PartsPlus is a new service that allows Mack dealers to improve their service to customers who must have a part when its conventional next-day, emergency service is not enough.

He said a Mack PDC employee will be dispatched to pick, pack and load the necessary material whenever a PartsPlus call is received. The same employee will arrange with a carrier for the next available shipment and notify the dealer of the expected arrival time.

"This is another example of our intention to be best in class with parts service to our customers and dealers," said Ethier.
