U.S. Xpress upping the ante

U.S. Xpress Enterprises Inc. intends to raise its stake in Arnold Transport Services and Total Transport of Mississippi from 49% to 80%.

According to investment banking firm Stephens Inc., the deal will likely make U.S. Xpress less seasonal. The transaction will likely be completed by early March.
