The new hub grappler kit also eliminates unnecessary alignments or the use of a shop press. An application guide offers tips, charts, and detailed diagrams. The manual provides instructions on how to remove the hub and bearing. The tool is used on trucks, vans and SUVs that have replaceable wheel bearings and can be used on either front-wheel or rear-wheel drive applications, OTC said.

Among the tools in the kit is a new ¾-in. custom drive screw coupled with a special equalizer washer for smooth operation. Proprietary heat treating and coating extends its life five to ten times longer than comparable drive screws, OTC said.
