Driver training company GE I-Sim has changed its name to GE Driver Development (GEDD) and will start a year-long reorganization to focus on bringing services to its clients' locations, rather than having clients bring drivers to its national network of training centers.

"By taking our services to our customer's doorstep, we can increase the fuel efficiency and safety benefits of our curriculum by accommodating greater student throughput," said newly installed CEO Brian Runkle.

In moving more services to their customers in key strategic territories, GEDD said it will shut down training centers in Anaheim, CA, and Denver.

Salt Lake City-based GEDD provides both classroom and driver simulator training primarily to commercial transportation companies and police departments nationwide. It also manufactures and markets its TranSimVS, Mark II and PatrolSim driver simulators.
