    Insurance broker Synaxis Group, has formed a new division to focus on the trucking industry.

    "Our goal is to provide our clients with one-stop shopping for their employee benefits, financial services, risk management and property and casualty needs,” said Edward L. Bass, who joined Synaxis Group in January as vice president, transportation, and will head the new division called Synaxis Transportation Services. “Because these are fully integrated rather than separate functions at Synaxis, we have clear paths of communication and a very seamless operation for our clients," he said.

    The division will be based Naperville, Ill., a suburb of Chicago, and in Nashville, Tenn.

    Prior to his career in insurance, Bass was a senior manager for Roadway Express and Morgan Southern, Inc.
