The covert tracking system uses GSM cellular service to provide position information, which can be monitored in real-time over the system's secure web site. Alerts can also be sent automatically to pagers, email addresses and mobile phone numbers.

Location data is determined with GPS, but the system also provides back up location data using cell tower and RF beacon triangulation when GPS satellite coverage isn't available.
