OBC for Mobitex network

The Wireless Pro from Synergistic Systems is a full function onboard computer with a built-in modem for the Cingular Mobitex (formerly BellSouth Wireless) wireless data network. It can also be ordered with a modem for the Aether Systems' land and satellite wireless network (formerly Motient).

With three serial ports, the new OBC can be connected to a J1708 databus, GPS receiver, laptop computer, handheld data collector or printer. An integrated GPS receiver is also available.

Software applications for the Wireless Pro computer include map displays, state-line crossing monitors, automatic status reporting and driver performance monitoring.
