The state of Massachusetts, through the Dept. of Environmental Protection (MassDEP), will subsidize 75% of the cost of the purchase and installation of the Aura/Zanotti all-electric transport refrigeration (eTru) system. The offer is open to a limited number of “qualified end-users,” according to Aura Systems.

The opportunity is being made possible through an agreement Zanotti East reached with MassDEP. Zanotti East collaborated with Aura on the eTru, using Zanotti's refrigeration technology and Aura's mobile power system AuraGen.

Designed for midsize trucks, the unit offers fuel savings of 0.5 gals. per hour, per truck, saving potentially 1,000 gals. of fuel per year, per truck, Aura said.
