Wisconsin grants boost anti-idling

The Wisconsin Dept. of Commerce has earmarked $1 million in grants annually to reimburse eligible WI-based motor carriers for 70% of the cost of idle reduction equipment for newer truck tractors

The Wisconsin Dept. of Commerce has earmarked $1 million in grants annually to reimburse eligible WI-based motor carriers for 70% of the cost of idle reduction equipment for newer truck tractors.

Grants will not be awarded for idle-reduction equipment that is purchased or installed before July 1.

The Wisconsin program will run through 2011.

The Department will begin accepting applications on July 1, 2006.
