Class 8 sales jumped but good in June

July 11, 2014

Last month, U.S. sales of Class 8 trucks leapt up 31.5% on volume of 19.373 units, per a news report posted on WardsAuto.com by associate editor James M. Amend.

“U.S. sales of medium- and heavy-duty trucks surged 18.5% on a daily basis to 33,808 units in June, compared with 30,913 in like-2013,” Amend pointed out, “propelled by strong gains in four of the sector’s five classes.”

In his piece, Amend details the Class 8 activity and also reports on Class 7 deliveries improving; a falloff in Class 6 sales; an “edging up” in Class 5 sales, and a “leap on volume” in Class 4.
