HDMA forms CV market research group

June 8, 2016

A new industry group dedicated to research for the heavy-duty and off-highway vehicle markets has been created by the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Assn.  The new Commercial Vehicle Research Council (CVRC) will be chaired by Adrian Ratza of Hino Trucks, who had been chair of the now disbanded Automotive Market Research Council (AMRC) board.

Joining Ratza on the new board will be other senior market data and research executives from heavy-duty aftermarket companies and OEMs, including Russel Cox of Peterbilt Motors.

The CVRC “will provide a forum for the presentation and discussion of key trends and issues regarding market data, research and consensus forecasting trends within the heavy duty commercial vehicle industry,” according to a press release issued by HDMA.

It plans to hold its first meeting on Oct. 6, 2016 in Chicago following HDMA’s annual off-highway conference.
