Freightliner announces start of ordering for fifth-generation Cascadia

Orders for the fifth-generation Cascadia can be placed at the more than 380 full-service Freightliner dealers across the U.S. and Canada.

Freightliner recently announced that ordering is now available for the fifth-generation Freightliner Cascadia. 

“The Freightliner Cascadia has earned its place as the preferred truck for customers of all sizes because of its ability to meet operational needs—safely, efficiently, and profitably,” David Carson, SVP of sales and marketing, Daimler Truck North America, said. “We’re honored to offer the successor to that legacy with the Fifth Generation, and we’re excited to begin customer deliveries in the coming months. My sincere gratitude to all the DTNA employees who have worked to bring the future forward, and here's to those customers who are ready for what's next.”

Enhancements to the newest Cascadia include the latest generation of the Detroit Assurance Suite of Safety Systems with Active Brake Assist 6, refined aerodynamic improvements, and all-new business intelligence tools to maximize profitability.

Detroit Assurance with ABA6 introduces new capabilities to add automatic braking in more scenarios for enhanced collision avoidance assistance. Streamlined components like the Max Aero Bumper, front wheel well closeouts, and a redesigned hood work together to reduce drag and improve efficiency. An updated technology platform allows real-time tracking of trucks, adds the ability to remotely lock and unlock vehicles, and allows users to create custom zones, or geofences, over a desired geographic area.

Orders for the fifth-generation Cascadia can be placed at the more than 380 full-service Freightliner dealers across the U.S. and Canada.
