The Energy Management Institute (EMI) is holding a seminar March 15-16 in Chicago, called Effective Transportation Fuel Purchasing. The course is designed to give over-the-road fleets and bulk purchases all the information, tools, tips and techniques needed to build an effective and manageable fuel program.
EMI experts will instruct using current data, real-life examples and practical experience. The course will cover a variety of topics, including building a price and retail network through swaps; bulk strategies to enhance buying power; eliminating surcharges to gain competitive advantage; defining reasonable discount/cost-plus targets; how the petroleum industry can work to your advantage; how to get more from a fuel card; and benchmarking your own performance.
