BAX Global Scores Vericor Contract

Vericor Power Systems LLC, a U.S.-based joint venture between Honeywell Engines and Systems and DaimlerChrysler’s MTU Aero Engines, has awarded a three-year contract to BAX Global to become its integrated, global supply chain service provider.

BAX Global, a $2.1-billion worldwide transportation company, will manage all logistics, for the energy and gas turbine propulsion company, which is headquartered near Atlanta.

The contract calls for BAX to manage over 36,000 parts annually for Vericor, with daily inventory storage of over 1,500 parts. In addition, BAX will handle purchase order follow-up, parts kit preparation for Vericor’s turbine engines and Web-based parts tracking on a global basis.
