David Aguilar has been appointed Chief of Border Patrol of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, effective after Border Patrol Chief Gus De La Viña retires on July 1, 2004. Anguilar will be promoted from his current post as Border Patrol Chief for Tucson, AZ.
“Serving as the Chief Patrol Agent of one of the southwest border’s busiest sectors over the past five years makes David an excellent selection for this challenging position,” Chief De La Viña said.
