Savi Technology, a logistics software provider in Sunnyvale, CA, announced that Chep Pallets, an international pallet and container pooling company based in Florida, has signed an agreement to use its real-time data collection software called SmartChain.
Savi said Chep will use SmartChain to form a global asset identification system that will enable Chep and its customers to track the location and status of goods on its pallets in the supply chain, while maximizing pallet and container use.
The contract includes a global license for the Savi’s SmartChain software platform and its Asset Management System (AMS), the software maker said. Both systems are operated on Internet-based platforms.
