Dana Corp. announced yesterday that Glen Hiner and Bill Carroll have been appointed as interim replacements for president, chairman & CEO Joe Magliochetti, who died Monday after a short bout with pancreatitis.
Dana's board of directors named Hiner, one of the company's longest serving directors, acting chairman, and Carroll, president of Dana’s Automotive Systems Group, acting president. Carroll had been serving as acting COO since Magliochetti was hospitalized on September 11.
"Joe Magliochetti was a wonderful man, not only respected, but also beloved by his friends and colleagues," said Hiner. "All of us at Dana are profoundly saddened by his loss, and our thoughts and prayers are with Joe’s family."
"I had the honor of working with Joe for more than 30 years," Carroll said. "He was a remarkable person, a true leader, and a great friend. He will be sorely missed."
