Gearworks joins GM Fleet tour

Gearworks announced today that is has been selected by General Motors (GM) to participate in its GM Fleet and Commercial Operation's five-city tour – a series of events to promote the OEM's lineup of commercial fleet products. Gearworks announced today that is has been selected by General Motors (GM) to participate in its GM Fleet and Commercial Operation's five-city tour – a series of events to promote the OEM's lineup of commercial fleet products.

Kicking off today in Las Vegas, the tour will stop in Dallas, Chicago, Atlanta and New York over the next eight weeks. The event will showcase products related to GM's new commercial, medium-duty trucks and 2003 full-size vans.

Gearworks' etrace, which automates and manages business activities carried out by workers in the field, is one product that GM is hilighting on the tour. The system consists of a wireless application that runs on off-the-shelf handheld devices, a Web-based system for dispatchers and a real-time connection back to enterprise systems.
