Fla.-based Landstar System, Inc. has appointed Larry Thomas to be its chief information officer, replacing Bob Luminati, who resigned to pursue other interests, the company said.
Thomas, who will be responsible for all technology-based systems at Landstar, joined the company in 1994 as director of management information systems. He most recently served as the company’s vp of research and development.
Prior to Landstar, Thomas held several positions at computer giant IBM. He earned his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Evansville.
